Super indulgent and a naughty weekend treat what could be better than homemade, crispy on the outside juicy in the middle Fried Chicken. Marinated in buttermilk and with Jamie’s not so secret blend of herbs and spices this is an absolute winner, winner, chicken dinner!!

honestly, brining is bullshit. tried it a hundred times, doesnt make a difference. salt and pepper the chicken and throw it in the buttermilk overnight. tastes the same.
Jamie,
Sorry to offend you but that does not look like soul food fried chicken….not brown enough.
whats name the song of 2:20
How to Cook Fried Chicken 'in the oven'
I tried this exact recipe and it was disgusting. Honestly
One thing I really like about Jamie Oliver is he cooks and than he tastes it and moreover he eats it with nice satisfaction ❤️
Too long time,sir
1:25 a liquid yogurt? So it’s just yogurt then lol
I now make anything from chicken schnitzels to turkey burgers this way. It's just so good! I have recently started substituting turkey for chicken, a little more fatty but much gameier, cheaper and since it has way less hormones and steroids in it it's also much less damaging for you
I wanna try… Hmmm
Looks delicious! Will definitely make this…
This may be the best fried chicken I've ever seen.
Making it tomorrow.. Currently, chicken under brining stage. Will post once done.. 👍
You’ve got to love the sound of that first bite crunch ! 👍❄️❄️❄️❄️
Waves from Fairbanks Alaska
My English teacher showed us your video , i watched today and like it, that's why i subscribed your channel.
Have to say that I was a bit of a skeptic of this recipe. Save for the salt, this is damn near perfect!_
I put milk on my Butter
My daughter asked me what time dinner would be ready.. I said 2 days
Hi, we made it and the taste was VERY good. However the flour did not stick to the chicken and was washed away in the oil.
Don´t overdo the brining – due to time commitments I left the chicken pieces in the brine for 24 hours and after a further overnight marinade in homemade (that is to say living) kefir I did the flouring, frying and baking. They looked lovely but were inedible: much much too salty.
U can open a fast food restaurant by watching this
Had to stop because I couldn't bear the background music. Bummer. I really wanted the recipe.
I made this exactly as instructed and it definitely did not recreate the KFC taste not even close…im disappointed 😞
Where can I find an outdoor oven like that?
What should you do with the liquid they sat in ?
I'm sorry Jamie, but korean
fried chicken is the best in the world.
Oh God, mines sitting in the buttermilk now after using the 100g salt in the video and in the Comfort Food book. Really worried all that effort will be wasted and it'll be disgusting.
The Colonel will forever haunt you for letting out his secret!
21 + hours for a bit of fried chicken! I'll go kfc thanks!
Shite!!
Today i did it for the third time and every time my guests fell in love with my dish
In the oven for half an hour? Aw, hell naw!
Really? I was Cook this at first time with this recipe and chicken was rare and salty as hell. How it possible that someone give really bad recipe like that? This procent of salt in water can be good for maximum 3 hours (12 hours??? Its insane, Really) . Otherwise you will need to keep this chicken 2 days in buttermilk to get out this salt a little bit. Also 20 minutes its most of the time not enough to Cook chicken. This 10 minutes more can't make this bad.
"JFC"
jamie lickin good
Waaaaaay too salty.
Wow I love your new recipe in chicken, I try it
Could this be done with boneless chicken?
the ultimate sunday nite feast with my baby
Bang that….. in your gob
👍👍👍
Waaw this seems so very good!
I’ve made this a few times. Amazing chicken, well worth the prep time
He carries Genaro's legacy
what theme of song that you use in the background sir?
You can season the butter milk for marination to get extra flavour in your chicken
Absolute rubbish! Stick with your fish and chips and leave good old American fried chicken to US pros.
Mummm
thumbs down 300mil words why need to blasphem
Jamie Oliver should focus more on these than Asian foods.
He is terrible at cooking the latter.
What? Chicken with a yogurt? This is crazy. I didn't hear about this in my life and i knew this is worst fried chicken.
Chicken with no gravy
This is amazing ❤️
Love this guy! But when will you correct the salt issue? Very disappointing after so much work to realize I put 3x the amount of salt. Damn. Please correct it in the video, others like me might be in a hurry getting kids ready and blindly trust the video.
I have to take back my comment from 2 days ago! I added the 100g salt in the brine as in the video, and not too salty at all! Maybe the difference was I washed it before buttermilking and forgot to cut the meat. Maybe that helped, but was awesome anyway!!
I made it the safe way but my coating fell off from chicken. Any idea what could be the reason?????
2 Days later 😂😂😂
3 years ago I started making this. Just a lot of waiting around! Still waiting now
Wtf's he doing throwing bit lumbs of salt over it after it's done? Its already seasoned
I just tried the recipe,me and my mum were exited but the crispy outer layer didn't stick to the chicken an now we've wasted loads of ingredients because of it,I'm now quite upset. I'm not sure what we did wrong
Gordon is hilariously dramatic, but Jamie has THE BEST recipes.
What about salt? 100 g for 800 ml? When I did this first time it was so salty that nobody couldn't eat that. Now I keep in brine only 4 h and it's still very salty
Did not work for me
The recipe is good, the theatrics arn't
Made this yesterday was good but I would say go half with the salt n sugar as it came out rather salty, my family still enjoyed it and was still juice the next day! Worth the effort just mind the salt 🤗 thx Jamie
Southern? Oven??
Your Videos are the best of the World. Lg. Heiko. I cam from germany. I Like what you do. 😉🤪🤪👍👍👍👍
This man and food are Gods gift to us. Been watching him since his naked chef days in that little apartment. Weekly episodes was my thing!!! One trick he taught that I have never forgotten and still use and people are amazed is the knocking a jar lid on a wall to open it. People think I'm amazing. Fan since 14yrs old, now 36
I hope you stop cooking asian food. It's terrible
JFC Jamie’s fried chicken ,that’s what it should be called .
"Jamie Fried Chicken"
Why does it mention here to add 100 grams salt, but in his recipe, it says to add 25 grams salt.
Has anyone tried too cook this recipe with chicken breast? Does it work?
All of that parsley is too much. And decorating the chicken is way too much
Hi, is it 100 gram of salt or 25 gram of salt as text on web site show?
BRINE
1 tablespoon black peppercorns
25 g sea salt
100 g brown sugar
4 sprigs of fresh thyme
4 fresh bay leaves
4 cloves of garlic
It must be 25 g salt sea salt anyway
Good ol yard bird
More baked than fried. Fried is better.
Thanks Jamie allot of BS out there about this sort of copy cat recipes i believe somewhere between the crumbing or before baking some sort of citrus juice is added to give it that KayFC old school feeling. But you did the citrus juice at the completion which is interesting. Thx for the tips much apre.
2:50 where tf that salt appeared from? Not counting 100g salt he already used, it will just taste weird
I love my some fried chicken and I'd love to try some Jay Fry C
It didnt worked for me. For some reason it wasnt crunchy, the breading was falling off and it really lacked a stronger flavour
Nice
Very interesting! Absolutely worth trying! Congratulations
Loved Jamie since he started his tv show as a kid and STILL LOVE HIM <3
Too much salt makes the chicken 🐔 tough.? Just needs the season brine & buttermilk after
Hola seve riquísimo..espero que suvas más videos como este ❤️ saludos desde México

My cats are hungry now 😆

My son loves fried chicken so I'm hoping this recipe will be a knock out!

I followed your recipe, tasted like rock salt in my mouth!

1 Fehler im Rezept, einer bei der Übersetzung. Es sind 25gr Salz und es sollte Erdnussöl genommen werden. Beides sehr wichtig, mache das Rezept regelmäßig;)
