Simply: Bravo!!!
The most overrated "breakfast' ever. She literally did a bunch of stuff just to make poached egg on toast, drowning in oil.
Too much oil but yes, poached eggs are divine!
Eknumber.
i was blushing the entire time. Her energy is just 🤩.
I am in love with this woman. I have watched her since I was in fourth grade. I remember during our winter vacation me and my sister would watch all her Christmas recipes on TV.
there is no such a thing called turkish poached egg. just poached egg. its not greek yogurt though, turkish yogurt.
I love that the video does mot have any music until the end. Feels really peaceful. I cannot stop watching this video i love it so.much and then I make the delicious recipe.
Çılbır😂😂😂❤
wait. so, the boiling water does not touch the bowl bottom?? if so, do we do the same when making hollandaise sauce?
Is there any pepper you could recommend to substitute???
Is this a mi-cro-wa-wé lady?
Would go well with wine?
She did she bite the toast so aggressively 😂
Just rustled up two chulburr (pronounced) poached eggs and used birds-eye chilli flakes and paprika as a suggested replacement. Toasted up some sourdough bread with nutty seeds. A delightful dip into the heavenly mix of egg, oils and yogurt and wow, that hits the spot nicely. Nice touch with the lemon and strained egg. Nigella is the goddess of culinary delights for sure.
Simply outstanding and I agree…a best breakfast!!!
Where is your mee-crow-wah-vay?
🤮🤮🤮let me get this straight, poached egg on yoghurt smothered in butter? I’m sure the dill and toast brings it together along with a nice splash of chopped peanuts and charred carrots 😂 This would be fantastic with some heroine!
You should use butter instead of olive oil.and we call it "çılbır " in Turkiye.
Nothing like a British accent, an impeccable melody ❤️❤️❤️
God I love her English. Beautiful pronunciation.
Lime juice in the egg and then poach it? She just wanted to overcomplicate things, obviously, she also wasn't going to wash the dishes.
Яйца по Панагюрски…
Right, I guess I’m making this for breakfast now
Update (for no one in particular): I made this a couple times now and it came out so well! It’s really filling and light. Goes amazing with some crunchy seeded bread.
Nigella is so aroused when eating excellent recipes. I love her attitude. I hope she makes many more Turkish dishes.
great. now I am not just hungry but horny.😂
We dont eat this
💖💖💖~Her👏👏👏👏👏👏
The dish has a name, she should have the courtesy to learn it… the british 🤦🤦🤦
She is mad as a bat 😍😍😍
Or how to fill the sink for one egg…
DREAMY
From time to time I come back to this video so as to remember every step (I´ve just realized I could improve my poache egg and I´m missing the extra olive oil to the butter sauce). I absolutely love this recipe! Thanks Nigella!
How does she have the inclination or the appetite after all that cocaine?
I make the same thing but with no oil and I add frozen blueberries and I add chopped toasted sourdough bread into the final mix.
"çılbır" we say it which may be the part of a huge breakfast table's part and yes you should better eat the bread that way .
Use the eggwhite too fry it up and eat with it the rest of the egg
I’ve made this so many times now. Perfect every time! Nigella’s poaching method is the easiest I’ve ever tried
So peaceful… 🔪🔪🔪 when the water is low 😅
I dream of shashuka. I’m actually going to combine these two recipes. Instead of the butter-chili sauce I’m going to place the shakshuka eggs on top of the yogurt sauce….
The poaching technique is actually brilliant. I hate the swirling water and that fluffy stringy but that usually fly off
I want to a bite. I feel the taste 😂
why she sounds like diana burnwood from hitman. "Okay 47, add butter to the eggs and stir well"
Very nice
No such thing as “greek” yogurt. Even the Word YOGURT is old Turkish. 😂
We need more Turkish recipe from you Nigella ❤
I've just made this again and as expected it didn't disappoint 😋Thank you Nigella ❤ and Thank you Turkey 🇹🇷
If you needed to strain the eggs – they weren't fresh. Ew!
Also, the color of the yolk reveals this egg was a cheapest crap from typical overcrowded egg farm with poorly fed hens. This is simply unhealthy food.
Fresh egg can be laid in the water with no need for straining. Just add a spoon of vinegar to help the eggs solidify quickly.
Other than that – great video.
Lovely ASSets 😅
In Bulgaria we eat this for hundrets of years already
even, if you have 1 bottle of spray on your head , that still is no excuse to not tide your hair together, when you cook.
Omg I just made this and it’s heaven!!!!!!
She has like an Emma thompson kinda feel to her♥
After watching this I will try.
Greek yogurt in a Turkish dish! Turks will feel insulted by that for sure lol
Made the exact recipe, loved it. So amazing, delicious and perfect for breakfast.
Wow🤩
Nice recipe, I did try this poached 🥚 egg today, but I used sourcream, red chili in oil substitute for what she requested. This didn't pathologicaly affect me due to the fact that I was very stressed starving.😋🫣
Other than her calling yoghurt "Greek", while the word itself is thousands of years old Turkic, literally meaning "intensified"..I applaud her recipe of a good old Turkish "Cilbir" great breakfast! try it
as a Turkish, when you said greek yoghurt at the beginning, you lost me there.😁
She has been and still the best
3 cloves of garlic are better. Also if your yogurt is room temperature it makes the dish more palatable.
How is this woman 64 years old ???
As a Turkish, I love this❤🇹🇷I would not eat poached egg, couldn’t even bare the idea how raw it is inside but when it is in this recipe it is just yummy🤩
It is Turkish yogurt there.
It is better to create a vortex in the water and then drop the eggs into it. This produces more uniform pouches and results in zero waste.
Niceeeeeee ❤
greek yogurt?wtf
She used Greek yogurt instead of Turkish yogurt for a Turkish recipe. xD What a sick joke.
Yogurt, salt and garlic is a fantastic combination. It's the main reason why it's tasty. And it's used in many other dishes as well.
No Greek yogurt. Turkish food is Turkish yogurt. Isn't it😊
I’m making this for Iftar
We put dried mint instead of dill
Turkish food is the best!
grek yoghurt ne aq. Götünüzden uydurmayın. İşiniz gücünüz İnkar !
Why did you say Turkish egg, you should say Greek egg😂
This is one of the oldest dishes from Ottoman cuisine. It tastes like heaven❤ I eat it also because eggs are the main protein source in my diet. Egg white has 99% clean protein.
This dish is warm, comforting, healthy and also keeps you full long time of period. In Türkiye in my family we eat çılbır usually at lunch or brunch time. Punchy garlic, warm creamy butter sauce, fluffy creamy yoghurt, fresh herbs And poached eggs ❤ Just Divine!
good
well it's not greek yogurt, yogurt is turkish
food is turkish yogurt is turkish yogurt is in turkish only greek here is greek name madam shit..
Cooks got it all and food compliments the cook
Turkish food is the best.
You need to use Turkish yoghurt.
Very nice
This is the best!!!
😍😍😍
Using all those utensils, including a double edged sword to cut some dill, for one egg, for one person. And then the establishes media wonder if they're out of touch.
The best breakfast in the world is misal pav
I still wonder why greeks still did not come up with “Cilbiri” and claimed that it is a greek food😂
…it makes the egg feel like *ups*…smashing. Must try this. Any tipp how to make several pouched eggs in one pot at the same time? Will try this, but reducing amount of garlic 🙂 and skip the chilli *ouch*. Great video. Your kitchen as well as you look absolutely smashing. No wonder one loves to cook in it. 😍
First mistake: Greek yogurt
Turkish Cousine is the Best.🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷🧿🧿🧿💯💯💯
yuk………
This is what we call "çılbır.":)
it's really delicious.
From my friends that did time, everyone was watching the cooking channel when she was on. And it wasn't for the food😂😂😂.
Btw, dish looks sick.
So delicious.
Happy Mother's Day Nigella…
Çılbır
Sushmita: Turkiye 💯 ♥️ one of my fav' destination – I know they love their eggs and so do I … will be making this NOW 😅 Thanks Nigella ❤
you should use Turkish yogurt for best taste. 🙂
Çılbır ❤ 👍👍👍
